DELRAN, NJ— January 26, 2011 — Benefit Consultants Group, a leading retirement plan provider, announces that they have successfully passed ISO 9001:2008 Triennial Assessment Audit by Underwriters Laboratories (UL DQS). Every year, an ISO registered company must undergo and pass a complete audit of their Quality Management System in order to continue their registration. Every three years, a company must go through a more in-depth process and pass the Triennial Assessment Audit.
Certification to the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 standard requires a comprehensive assessment and audit each year ensuring that the company maintains the proper procedures and processes for a complete quality system. Only after a stringent third-party assessment can ISO registration be received. The ISO 9000 series standards are internationally recognized quality management system requirements developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These standards put great emphasis on quality commitment by top management and all employees. To ensure compliance, UL DQS performs an on-site assessment of a company’s documented procedures and surveys its overall operations.
“Meeting and maintaining the ISO standards for quality management requires great due diligence,” said Jorge Arroyo, President and COO of BCG. “The successful completion of our yearly audits, and now with this Triennial Assessment Audit, was made possible by the business processes we have put into place and the ongoing efforts of our employees to continually improve the Quality Management System.”
BCG’s external yearly audits and Triennial Audit are performed by UL DQS. They received the highest compliment of (0) observations and (0) findings on this audit. Highlights of the audit include their demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and state-of-the-art electronic workflow system that is another significant strength of this quality management system.
